The objective of this proposal is to provide training to
Pennsylvania dairy farmers in crop insurance and dairy risk
management tools. Pennsylvania dairy producers have not adopted
crop insurance programs at the same rate as other types of farms.
Pennsylvania dairy farms face enormous risks in the areas of crop
and milk production, and both market price and production
management. It is hoped that this training program will lead to
better use of crop insurance and greater adoption of production and
price risk management tools. |
